Gallery Madison Park is pleased to present the work of artist Hazy Mae. Hazy Mae's solo exhibition of will run from March 7, 2019 - March 18, 2019.

Hazy Mae is a ceramic cookie jar maker. Her cookie jars are each hand sculpted and made in limited editions of 10.
​
Hazy Mae was once given a cookie jar as a gift and she was taken with the figure, the appealing and sweet boy bear character, and it’s large size and functionality. Soon after she began looking for other cookie jars at markets and thrift and antique shops and she soon amassed a large collection of them. Each new one she found a fun and delightful surprise from someones kitchen in the past.

As an artist with a love for character and fun functional design, she decided that she wanted to make her own, so she began sketching characters to make into cookie jars, and joined a ceramic studio and fell in love with making them.
​
The cookie jars Hazy Mae designs are directly influenced by the vintage cookie jars from her collection, which fill her with a mix of laughter, wonder and curiosity. As a result each unique cookie jar that she designs and makes is as funny, whimsical as the ones from the past, but with an elevated contemporary look.
